Welcome to the Riverside Central!
This is the official website of the N-scale Riverside Central Railroad, a paper-hauling regional railroad in the state of Wisconsin, set in the early 1990s. The RC's route traverses some of the best scenery to be found anywhere in the Midwest, from the beautiful rolling hills and farmland to the serenity of lakes and rivers. The railroad makes ends meet by servicing the booming paper industry, while also shipping carloads of grain, produce, furniture, and other products. The railroad interchanges with other Wisconsin railroads such as the Wisconsin Central, Green Bay & Western, Fox River Valley, and the Wisconsin and Southern.
The RC's attractive red and black paint scheme and colorful roster of mostly secondhand EMD, Alco, and GE locomotives make it a fascinating railroad with a story to tell. From its sparkling-new EMD GP60 locomotives hauling long freights to its Ex-Soo Line Alco RS-1 pulling short ore and ballast trains, the Riverside Central will captivate the interest of railfans young and old. Using inspiration from railroads from across the country in the beautiful setting of Wisconsin, the Riverside Central is a must-see for anybody serious about railfanning, and will become one of their favorite railroads!
While the RC's history, locomotive roster, and lines are entirely of our own creation, it does exist as a freelanced N-scale model railroad. This website will show everything we have to offer about the RC's progress, and updates will be posted whenever possible. Thanks for visiting and stay tuned for more about the Riverside Central Railroad!
